ABOUT ELLIE GONSALVES
ELLIE GONSALVES is an Australian model, actress, entrepreneur and Wildlife Warrior Ambassador.
Born in Brisbane, Australia, Ellies' career in the modelling world began at the young age of 13 when she was signed to a child modelling agency. While finishing her education at a high school in Brisbane, she kept a busy schedule performing in theatre and taking acting classes with NIDA in-between school and modelling work.
Since then, she has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world such as L’Oreal, GUESS, FENTY Beauty, Bondi Sands, Beautyblender, Revolve, Magnum, Cotton On, Ole Henriksen and Khloe Kardashian’s clothing brand Good American- in which Ellie was flown to LA to shoot alongside the reality star, joining the famous #GOODSQUAD.
Ellie has been on the cover of Treats! and MAXIM magazine and starred in a 2017 Yellowtail Super Bowl commercial which aired in front of 150+ million people. Further to this, Ellie opened up the SWIM show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia and has been a prominent face at some of Australia's most renowned events; VAMFF, MBFWA, Portsea Polo, Miss Universe Australia.
In addition to Ellie’s success, in 2010 Ellie was named a global ambassador of the Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors charity, founded by Australian icons Steve and Terri Irwin. In 2018 she and her partner of 13 years Ross Scutts were proud recipients of the Wildlife Warriors award at the Steve Irwin Day Charity event for their work with the internationally acclaimed charity.
In January 2017 Ellie was handpicked by Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson to play WWE Diva ‘Madison’ in the comedy/drama Hollywood Blockbuster 'Fighting with My Family'. The film was produced by Seven Bucks Productions, written and directed by Stephen Merchant and starred Dwayne Johnson, Lena Headey, Vince Vaughn, Florence Pugh and Nick Frost. The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was released in cinemas worldwide in February 2019 and can now be found on streaming services like Netflix, Amazon TV, Apple TV & iTunes.
In 2019 Ellie starred in and co-produced (alongside partner Ross Scutts) an award-winning dark comedy short film called ‘ZEBRA’. Taking out multiple International Film Festival awards.
In 2020, Ellie completed filming for the third season of the SBS Logie award winning documentary ‘Filthy Rich & Homeless’. Ellie was amongst five other high-profile Australians who each had the potential and reach to effect real change, swapping their lives over the course of 10 days to discover what life is really like for the nations homeless. Filthy Rich & Homeless premiered on SBS over three consecutive nights to record ratings.
In 2021, Ellie shot her third L’Oreal Professional Australia campaign with the brand, creating her most edgy look yet, a platinum pixie look, changing up her image and really leaning into a topic of conversation around industry beauty standards.
Ellie is also a huge supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community and in March 2021, announced her partnership with Pink Flamingo Gold Coast, becoming the first ever Ambassador for the world’s first Spiegelclub.
Ellie has also combined her passion for health and fitness and launched her Body By Ellie Program to her online community, a guide to how she transformed her body and life which has reached thousands of women around the world. Ellie’s strong social media following of 5 million+ people across her channels, gives her audience a glimpse into the life of one of Australia’s most influential women.
