THE VISION BOARD

July 9, 2017

WHAAAT'S up homegirls and boys!

Today I wanted to share a few tips about how I keep myself motivated to stay in shape, eat healthy, build my own success - and actually enjoy it.

One of my secrets?

A few years ago I was introduced to a idea called "the vision board" and it changed my freekin' life. A vision board is a canvas/board you have somewhere you look everyday.. Like in your office, bedroom or bathroom. It's a mock up of all the things you want to have, inspire you or you want to achieve in your life.

This is a digital one I created to give you an example. This is one of my fitness/lifestyle boards. You can have as many as you like, every year I create a new ones to keep it fresh so I am continuously inspired to work hard and achieve my goals. Looking at my vision board everyday not only helps me stay motivated to achieve my goals and dreams but helps me MAINTAIN those achievements I have already made. When you create your dreams board, make it BIG, bright and fun. Make it your own and don't be afraid of what other people think of it because its just for you, it's not for anyone else.

Whats the best way to create a vision board that works?

Well it’s pretty simple: Your vision board should focus on how you want to feel, not just on things that you want. The more your board focuses on how you want to feel, the more it will come to life. Things like quotes and pictures that make you happy and bring you joy are a great way to do this.

Visualization is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do. When you are visualizing, you are unconsciously emitting a powerful frequency out into the universe.

Another way to stay driven to achieve your goals while you are away from your vision board is having those photos that keep you motivated on your phone. I have a folder called My Vision Board on my phone. Every time I need that extra motivation (maybe before a workout I'm not feeling particularly hyped up for), I just look at those pictures.

If you think you're someone who's a quitter, you have already given up on yourself. Positive thinking goes a very long way in all aspects of your life. So this is for people who want to better themselves and their attitudes. Make a conscious effort to be positive and proactive towards your goals every day and you will start to see some serious changes. No one is perfect and everyone has their days where they're not feeling too crash hot, I surely do. But believe in yourself and have confidence in all of your abilities.

While we are on the topic of positivity, make sure the people you surround yourself with are positive. How many people can you think of in your life are riding your wave and bringing you down, instead of pushing you up? If one these people are close to you, like a family member or a friend, you have to sit down with that person and communicate to them that you feel like they are making a negative impact on you. But if you find a person or acquaintance who is floating around in your life (or on your social media) making a negative impact or saying nasty or passive aggressive things to you or about you, you have the choice to remove them TF outta your life boys and girls! ;)

I'd like to encourage you not to let people who are negative or mean spirited bring you down. If some of your friends are like that and don't make a conscious decision to change.. give yourself permission to get rid of them, as hard as it sounds you're far better off and will achieve more without someone creating drama or making you feel uncomfortable in your life. You don't want people bringing you down while you are trying to reach your goals and be happy. It is a choice everyone has but not all decide to do the right thing by their own happiness and well being - You deserve better surroundings, so dig deep for your courage and tell it how it is.

BE REAL WITH OTHERS, BE REAL WITH YOURSELF!

Love E x
